Our Exterior Varnish has been developed to maximize the protection of wood that is placed outdoors. Formulated with raw tung and linseed oils, a soy oil based resin which will not yellow over time and maximum UV absorbers, you won’t have to worry about wood damaged from the environment in the same way again. L.Co Exterior Varnish is extremely easy to maintain. Just clean the surface free from dirt and oils, lightly sand and reapply to make your outdoor project like new again.

Provides exceptional adhesion to oily, dense woods like teak, rosewoods, and walnut. Prior to applying L.Co Exterior Varnish, it is recommended to apply 1-2 coats of L.Co Exterior Oil Treatment to seal and prime the substrate which adds extra life and longevity to the finish.

Using a blend of tung oil, linseed oil, ultra violet absorbers and resin, L.Co Exterior Varnish forms a flexible, beautiful finish that extends the life and appearance of wood that is placed outside.
New wood application:
Prepare the surface of the wood by sanding with 180 grit sandpaper. Mix varnish well before and during application and apply with a soft cotton rag, foam brush, or spray gun in quick and light coats. Allow surface to completely dry 2-4 hours before applying additional coats. Lightly sand with 400 grit sandpaper between coats.
Repair | Maintenance:
Prepare the surface by cleaning with mineral spirits or turpentine, lightly sand with 400 grit sandpaper and re-coat referring to the instructions above.
Clean application tools immediately with mineral spirits or turpentine. Properly dispose of rags, applicators and waste.
Coverage | Thinning:
4 Liters covers 40 square meters per coat. One Liter covers 10 square meters per coat. The number of coats depends upon the porosity of the wood. No thinning necessary.
Allow surface to completely dry 2-4 hours before applying additional coats. Poor ventilation, high humidity or cool temperatures may increase dry times. *See our support page for more information on drying and curing.
Mineral spirits, modified alkyd resin, raw tung oil, double boiled linseed oil, UV absorbers, dryers, modified wax (in semi-gloss and matte sheens).
Non-toxic when fully cured.
